Apple PowerBook G4 1.67 15" (DLSD/HR - Al) Specs

The PowerBook G4/1.67 15" (Double Layer SuperDrive/High-Resolution) features a 1.67 GHz PowerPC 7447a (G4) processor with the AltiVec "Velocity Engine" vector processing unit and 512k on chip level 2 cache, 512 MB of PC2-4200 DDR SDRAM, an 80 GB Ultra ATA/100 hard drive (5400 RPM), a slot-loading 2.4X dual-layer "SuperDrive", a Firewire "400" and "800" port, built-in Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and AirPort Extreme (802.11g), and ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 (4X AGP) graphics with 128 MB of DDR SDRAM in an attractive aluminum alloy case with a 15" widescreen TFT display (1440x960 native resolution). Custom configurations also were available.


The PowerBook G4/1.67 15" (DLSD/HR) is quite similar to the PowerBook G4/1.67 15" that it replaced, but is equipped with a revised logicboard that uses faster RAM, and also has a higher-resolution display (approximately 26% more viewable area) and a dual-layer SuperDrive. The DLSD/High-Res model additionally provides an extra hour of battery life.

On January 10, 2006, Apple introduced the MacBook Pro, designed to replace the PowerBook G4. However, Apple continued to sell this model until February 22, 2006, when supplies were exhausted.
